Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. Expands the Scope Of Its Warsaw Stock Exchange Operations

Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. expands the scope of its operations on the WSE as of 3 December 2007.

Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. has so far operated on the WSE in a limited market segment: trading in derivative instruments solely on its own account. As of 3 December 2007, the Bank will perform two strands of operations: continued trading in derivative instruments on its own account, as well as trading in all financial instruments on clients’ account.

The WSE operations of Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. are expanded following its integration with a part of the organisation of Bank BPH and the formation of a separate brokerage business division within the Bank’s structure.

Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. with its seat in Warsaw is a universal bank operating mainly in Poland. The Bank is listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 13 June 1998. Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. is a member of Unicredit Group, one of Europe’s largest financial groups.

Following its merger with Bank BPH, Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. will operate the bank accounts of 5 million retail customers and serve more than 15.5 corporate clients. With a network of over 1,400 branches and assets of PLN 130 billion, Bank Polska Kasa Opieki S.A. will become Poland’s largest universal bank and the biggest Polish company listed on the WSE.
