The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) spent the afternoon of Saturday 16 May 2026 with the 2026 Cohort of the Gentlemen’s Club Bahamas.  The session allowed BISX CEO, Keith Davies and BISX COO, Holland Grant to speak to the young men about savings, investing, and most importantly about setting priorities so that the young men could have the healthiest financial life possible.

The Gentlemen’s Club Bahamas was started in 1992 under the leadership of the late Dr. Judson Eneas, to provide an outlet for high school boys to develop leadership values, become community-minded, and to learn marketing and business skills so that they could be well-equipped to pursue their professional goals. A four-month yearly program incorporates seminars and workshops on etiquette, moral conduct, interpersonal skills, social interaction, and professional advancement just to name a few.

The Gentlemen’s Club started with a dozen young men in 1992, and has now expanded to 50-plus high school boys passing through the program’s doors each year. The Club has awarded millions of dollars in scholarships over the years. The Club is now under the leadership of Mr. Lamon Stubbs.

Speaking of the opportunity to speak to the Gentlemen’s Club, BISX CEO Keith Davies stated: “It was an honour to speak to the 2026 Cohort of the Gentlemen’s Club.  Financial literacy in general is something that I and the entire Exchange are passionate about, but for me the opportunity to speak to such an engaged and ambitious group of young men was exciting.  Seeing a group of talented young men such as this made me excited about the future achievements of this group. I look forward to reading amazing stories about their accomplishments in the future.”

One of the Members of the Gentlemen’s Club Cohort of 2026, Evan Davis in speaking of the presentation noted: “The presentation by BISX was incredibly eye-opening for all of us. Learning the fundamentals of saving and investing isn't just about managing money; it’s about building a foundation for our future financial independence. From myself as well as my fellow pre- gents, these insights provided us with the tools to take calculated risks, make informed decisions, and actively prepare for the responsibilities of adulthood. These are some of the most essential aspects of a young aspiring entrepreneur seeking financial independence. It was truly a powerful experience.”

Lamon Stubbs the Director of the Gentlemen’s Club Bahamas Program in speaking of the event noted: “We thank BISX for an engaging and informative presentation on financial literacy and investing. Their insights helped inspire and educate our young men as they prepare to become future leaders.

BISX COO Holland Grant reflected on the presentation:  “It brought back many memories being in the room with those young men.  I was a Member of the Gentlemen’s Club Cohort of 1997, and I have so many memories of the program and how it helped shape and mold me to the person I am today.  I want to thank the organizers who allowed BISX to spend this time with this group, and so to still express my heartfelt gratitude to those gentlemen that gave up their Saturday’s to help me and all of those other young people who have benefited from mentorship.”
