The Bahamas International Securities Exchange (BISX) spent the afternoon of Monday 7 November 2022 with the 11th Grade Economics class of St. John’s College. Speaking to the students was BISX Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Holland Grant. The students were given the opportunity to learn about the stock exchange and to ask questions that will benefit them both in completing their academic curriculum, but also in their investing lives.
During the speaking session, Mr. Grant spoke about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and investing principles. During the session, Mr. Grant also took time to educate the students on current economic events such as inflation, and how it impacts the Bahamian economy. He noted: “I always enjoy speaking with students and learning from them. I’d like to especially thank Mr. Williams for taking the time to organize this speaking engagement, dedicated teachers are a crucial part of the education experience
