Autorité Des Marchés Financiers Appoints Martine Charbonnier And Guillaume Eliet As Managing Directors

Martine Charbonnier has been appointed Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Directorate and the Corporate Accounting and Auditing Directorate, effective 14 January 2013. Guillaume Eliet has been promoted to Managing Director of the Asset Management Directorate. Guillaume will remain as head of the Asset Management Directorate, a post he has held since 2010. Both will join the AMF’s executive committee.

Martine Charbonnier, 54, is a specialist in securities markets and listings. In the course of her career she has been involved in numerous initial public offerings and corporate finance transactions, and has managed teams at international level.

Martine began her career in 1982 as an investment analyst at Fidal. She then moved to SBF - Bourse de Paris, where she worked for 16 years successively as an investment analyst, head of the IPO department, Deputy Director in charge of corporate finance and issuers relations. In 2000, following the merger of several European stock exchanges, she was named Executive Director of Listing and Issuers at Euronext NV. In

2007 she became Executive Vice-President in charge of the Listing Europe business unit at NYSE Euronext. In 2009 she joined Oddo Corporate Finance as a partner. Since 2011 she has served as an independent director and audit committee member for several listed groups. Martine is a graduate of ESC Dijon Bourgogne and Société Française des Analystes Financiers.

Guillaume Eliet has been promoted to Managing Director of the Asset Management Directorate

Guillaume Eliet, 41, worked at Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations and then joined BNP as a lawyer on the bond trading floor. In 1999 he moved to the law firm Coudert Brothers LLP. He joined the Autorité des Marchés Financiers in May 2005 as a legal expert in charge of policy at the Investment Service Providers and Products Department, and in 2009 became deputy head of that department. Since 2010 he has served as head of the Asset Management Directorate, and will stay on in that function as Managing Director. A qualified lawyer, Guillaume holds a postgraduate diploma in business and tax law and a Magistère degree in business law from Sorbonne-Paris I University.
