Arcelor Mittal Replaces Arcelor SA In The S&P European Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, effective after the close of trading on Monday 31 July 2006:

  • Arcelor Mittal (Netherlands, SEDOL: 5295254, GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15104050) will replace Arcelor SA (Luxembourg, SEDOL: 7281875, GICS: Materials, GICS Code: 15104050) in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices following the tender offer for Arcelor by Mittal Steel.

Arcelor Mittal is a global steel producer. The number of shares outstanding will be 1,378,492,000 and the Investable Weight Factor will be 0.5753. The company will be added to the S&P Europe 350 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Steel sub-industry.
