The LME today announced that following the first meeting of the newly elected boards of LME Holdings Limited and The London Metal Exchange Limited, five new directors have been appointed as independent and invited directors.
The invited independent directors appointed to the board of The London Metal Exchange Limited are:
- The Rt Hon The Lord Fraser of Carmyllie QC
- Sir Timothy Lankester KCB
The invited independent director appointed to the board of LME Holdings Limited is:
- The Rt Hon The Lord Fraser of Carmyllie QC
The invited directors with substantial experience in the metals trade and industry appointed to the board of The London Metal Exchange Limited are:
- Mr Arthur R Miele
- Mr G John Pizzey
Mr Juan Herrera has been invited to serve as one of the invited directors on the board of LME Holdings Limited.
Commenting on the announcements The Lord Bagri CBE, chairman of the Exchange, said; “I would like to welcome these individuals to the board and it is a privilege and a credit to the LME that they have accepted these positions.”
