Over the weekend, SIAC tested new technology, which will upgrade capacity and enhance the efficiency of the Amex trading platforms. Today, there was an interruption in the system services that is being fully investigated to identify the exact source of the problem.
The interruption affected trading in Amex equities and ETFs. Options continued trading.
