Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) Chief Executive, Rashed Al Blooshi, said that ADX’s participation in GITEX Tech week is a giant step that complements the institutional efforts started 10 years ago to build the e-Government in Abu Dhabi.
ADX Chief Executive added “the digital services offered here are considered the top in the region within the digital scope that goes in line with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030”.
ADX Rights Issue Management System that was launched today will connect all concerned parties in the Exchange electronically, while saving time and effort in data entries and percentage calculations.
Similarly, the Initial Public Offering (IPO) Management System will make it easier to observe the initial briefings and contracts within one single environment that connects all the relevant parties. While as the Cash Dividend Payments Management System, which is connected with the Central Bank, will enable shareholders to receive their dividends promptly.
The Blockchain technology utilized by ADX for AGM Meetings & eVoting System, the first of its kind in the MENA region, enables a live connection via the internet from anywhere in the world. The System handles, prepares, and sends the meeting invitations as well as sending the decisions of the AGM. It also manages meeting notification management.
Also during GITEX Tech week, ADX’s will showcase its Virtual Stock Exchange game which signifies the social responsibility of ADX in sustaining the comprehensive educational development process in the Emirate. The game offers the youth the opportunity to interact virtually with the Exchange, which will increase the financial and investment awareness for future generations.
Al Blooshi expressed his pride in the team spirit at GITEX2016, saying that “the digital services offered by Abu Dhabi government agencies during GITEX reflect the competitive nature of Abu Dhabi, who is celebrating 10th anniversary of launching the Abu Dhabi e-Government’s activities, and GITEX 2016 will be the ideal event to highlight the e-Government’s growth, developments and accomplishments over the past decade.
