Global Exchanges Deliver Strong Q2 2026 Growth Despite June Stock Price Pullback - AI Infrastructure Boom, Shifting Economic Data, And Landmark Market Events Drive Record Trading Activity Worldwide

Date 14/07/2026

Global exchanges delivered robust operational and business growth throughout the second quarter of 2026, even as stock prices experienced a sharp pullback in June. A massive boom in artificial intelligence infrastructure, shifting economic data, and major market events — including the highly anticipated SpaceX IPO — fuelled heavy trading activity across the globe.

Herbie Skeete, Managing Director of Mondo Visione and Co-founder of the Index, commented:
"Q2 2026 was a textbook decoupling — fundamentals firing on all cylinders while stock prices took a breather. Exchanges printed cash, driven by sustained institutional hedging demand and a once-in-a-generation catalyst in the SpaceX IPO. The June correction wasn't a signal of business deterioration; it was profit-taking after an extended run. Valuations have reset, the froth has cleared, and with a strong earnings season on the horizon, the setup looks compelling."
