Herbie Skeete, Managing Director, Mondo Visione and Co-founder of the Index said:

"The times they are a changing. Back in the day when I worked for what was then the leading market data vendor in the world, we used to say, 'Content is King'. Back in the day the place we wanted to go but dared not was to be a centre of global liquidity. Back in the day we butted horns with the local exchange on our patch who thought we wanted to disintermediate them out of existence. Now, the reincarnation of my alma mater is about to absorbed by said local exchange. Who would have thunk it?! As the sung goes --- If your time to you is worth savin, And you better start swimmin, Or you'll sink like a stone, For the times they are a-changin - And my, the global exchanges they are swimming, but not against the tide, for data is at the centre of a rush of consolidation. Deutsche Boerse and ISS have followed LSEG and Refinitiv. With the trend towards investors constructing climate resilient portfolios, Deutsche Boerse is tapping into a rich seam, with the ISS case against the SEC over the recent rule increasing oversight of proxy advisory firms being the only cloud on the horizon"
