The three months to the end of March saw the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index up by 6.3%. BSE was the best performing exchange in the quarter, with Bursa Malaysia being the worst performer.
The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index ended the month up 0.4% at 76,641.18 points, up from 76,327.72 on 31 May 2021.
CME Group regained the top spot as the world's largest exchange operator by market capitalisation at the end of June.

FTSE MONDO VISIONE EXCHANGES INDEX AND THE FTSE ALL-WORLD INDEX PERFORMANCE SINCE 17 AUGUST 2001 (USD CAPITAL RETURN)

"Despite CME Group's quarterly revenue yet to surpass the Q1 2020 figure, the stock is trading at close to its all-time high. The stock is more expensive today than it was in Q1 2020. To boldly go where no market has gone before."
Philippine Stock Exchange was the best performer in June by capital returns in US dollars with a 16.4 per cent increase in share price from 1 June 2021 to 30 June 2021. The next two best performers were Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange with a 10.2 per cent increase and Cboe Global Markets with a 7.0 per cent increase over the same period.
The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index worst performer in June by capital returns in US dollars was the JSE, with an 11.2 per cent decrease in share price from 1 June 2021 to 30 June 2021. The next two worst performers at the bottom of the table were NZX with a 9.5 per cent decrease and India's BSE with an 8.6 per cent decrease over the same period.
The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index rose 6.3 per cent in the second quarter of 2021, having fallen 0.5 per cent in the first quarter of 2021 and risen 17.9 per cent in the second quarter of 2020.
In Q2 2021, the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index best performer by capital returns in US dollars was India's BSE with a 55.1 per cent increase in share price from 1 April to 30 June 2021. The next two best performers were the Philippine Stock Exchange with a 45.5 per cent increase and Cboe Global Markets with a 20.6 per cent increase.
In Q2 2021, the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index worst performer by capital returns in US dollars was Bursa Malaysia, with an 11.5 per cent decrease in share price from 1 April to 30 June 2021. At the bottom of the table, the next two worst performers were Japan Exchange Group with a 5.2 per cent decrease and NZX with a 5.0 per cent decrease.
Over the past 12 months, the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index best performer by capital returns in US dollars was Aquis Exchange with a 107.7 per cent increase in share price. The next two best performers were India's BSE with a 106.1 per cent increase and NZX with a 55.1 per cent increase.
Over the past 12 months, the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index worst performer by capital returns in US dollars was Deutsche Boerse with a 3.5 per cent decrease in share price. The next two worst performers at the bottom of the table were Japan Exchange Group with a 3.3 per cent decrease and ASX with a 0.8 per cent decrease.

The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index, a joint venture between FTSE Group and Mondo Visione, was established in 2000.
