The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index, which aims to reflect market sentiment and is a key indicator of exchanges performance closed at 60,528.99 on 30 August 2019, 3.7% up on the month, up 22.5% Year-to-Date and 20.2 % over 12 months (all in USD terms). The index set a new closing all-time high of 60,675.24 on 30 August 2019.
The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index best performer by capital returns in US dollars was TMX Group with a 16.3 per cent increase in share price from 31 July 2019 to 30 August 2019. The next best performer was Multi Commodity Exchange of India with a 15.8 per cent increase, followed by CME Group with a 11.8 per cent increase over the same period.
The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index worst performer by capital returns in US dollars was the Bulgarian Stock Exchange with a 11.9 per cent decrease in share price from 31 July 2019 to 30 August 2019.. This was followed by Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing with a 9.7 per cent decline and Dubai Financial Market with a 9 per cent decrease over the same period.

"TMX Group topped the leader board this month on the back of excellent second quarter 2019 results driven by higher revenue from their Global Solutions business and the Insights and Analytics business, including Trayport, In third place was the CME Group, helped by the synergies of their acquisitions - such as that of NEX Group - strategic alliances and new product initiatives, that have all been aiding their results. With the FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index on a steady rise, despite the background of trade war rhetoric between the US and China, the question is how long will the good times last? "

The FTSE Mondo Visione Exchanges Index, a joint venture between FTSE Group and Mondo Visione, was established in 2000.
