Íslandsbanki-FBA Becomes The First Icelandic Member Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

Íslandsbanki-FBA has become a member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange and commences trading on 1 December. Íslandsbanki-FBA is the first Icelandic member of the Exchange. Moreover, Íslandsbanki-FBA also commences trading on the OM Stockholm Exchange tomorrow.

By becoming a member of the Exchange, Íslandsbanki-FBA aims to provide its clients with direct access to Danish investment opportunities, offering increased specialisation and hands-on knowledge of the market. At the same time Íslandsbanki-FBA offers Danish investors a gateway to the Icelandic securities market.

Íslandsbanki-FBA is a leading Icelandic financial service provider, with a market share of 20 per cent to 45 per cent in securities, foreign exchange markets, corporate finance, asset management and retail banking.

Íslandsbanki-FBA holds a 25 per cent interest in Basisbank of Denmark, which last September successfully launched an online-only banking service www.basisbank.dk in Denmark.
