Shares of company PKO BP will join the WIG20 index as a result of an extraordinary adjustment but together with the nearest periodic adjustment. Shares of company PKO BP will replace shares of a bank, which will be ranked in a lowermost position in the ranking drown up as of the day of PKO BP’s debut.
Shares of company PKO BP will be added to WIG, WIG-PL and WIG-Banking indices after three trading session counting from the first quotation date. Parallel with this operation the participation of individual companies’ share TPSA and PKNORLEN will be limited to 10% and the banking sector to 30%.
Detailed information concerning the schedule of introducing PKO BP’s shares to indices’ portfolios will be announced immediately after the first trading session on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The Warsaw Stock Exchange computes 12 different indices, including WIG20 (blue-chip companies), MIDWIG (mid-cap companies) and TechWIG (innovative technologies companies), which are underlying instruments for futures contracts. Other indices: WIG (main market companies), WIRR (small companies) and WIG-PL (main market domestic companies) are all-share benchmark indices.
All the WSE index selection criteria are based on free float, liquidity and observance of corporate governance.
