Due to the timing of the event, and to accommodate the June Quarterly Review (effective close of trade Friday June 17, 2005), a cash security (WMRXX) will be temporarily added to the index at a fixed price, and will serve as a proxy for WMR’s index weight until the implementation of the quarterly review changes.
WMRXX will replace WMR in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective start of day, Wednesday June 15, 2005 until the close of trade on Friday June 17, 2005. After the close of trade on Friday June 17, 2005, WMRXX will be replaced by Transurban Group (ASX: TCL).
Transurban Group (Australia, SEDOL: 6200882) is involved in the development and operation of advanced electronic toll roads. The company's cornerstone asset is CityLink, a privately-developed tollroad linking the northwestern and southeastern suburbs of Melbourne. The number of shares outstanding is 785,169,398 and the Investable Weight Factor is expected to be 1.00. The company will be added to the S&P/ASX 50 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Industrials Sector and to the Highways and Railtracks sub-industry.
