The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) participates in the activities of the International Day for Autism in collaboration with the Egyptian Society for Autism. From his side, Dr. Mohamed Omran, EGX chairman stressed on the need to unite all efforts to fight this disease, noting the need to integrate those who suffer from the disease, to take part in the community and make use of their energy and potential.
Dr. Omran added that the role of the stock exchange is not only financing projects, but it is concerned at this stage with how to lead the business community to be more positively involved in issues related to sustainability. On top of this are issues of importance related to women empowerment, orphans and autism, and the EGX will soon participate in the Earth Day initiative on environmental conservation.
Furthermore, within the framework of the community initiative that was initiated by the former president/ counselor Adly Mahmoud Mansour, is the initiative to adopt some developmental projects in the field of health and support of Abu Al-Rish Hospital for children. The management of the stock market works towards community service, sustainable development and its support initiatives in various fields.
The Egyptian Exchange executed the initiative of the former president and its Board of Directors approved the establishment of the Egyptian Exchange for Sustainable Development and gave its support of LE5 million.
Counselor Adly Mahmoud Mansour chaired the first founding meeting of the Egyptian Exchange for Sustainable Development at the Egyptian Exchange Smart Village premise.
The members of the Board of Trustees reviewed the most important aspects of the Foundation's activities in line with the country’s policy and vision towards sustainability. The Board of Trustees unanimously decided to appoint Counselor Adly Mahmoud Mansour as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Mohamed Omran as Vice President, and Dr. Wajeh Mustafa as Secretary General of the Foundation and Accountant Mohammad Yahia as Treasurer.
