Warsaw Stock Exchange Strengthens London Presence With A Local Representative

Date 28/06/2013

As of June 2013, the Warsaw Stock Exchange has hired Mr Peter Niklewicz, former Director of Equities at Citigroup and experienced capital markets advisor, as Senior Advisor to the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange based primarily in London.

With Mr Peter Niklewicz’s appointment we want to reinforce the Warsaw Stock Exchange's commitment to its international strategy and growth ambitions, at the same time recognizing the key role that London plays for investors and brokers focused on Central and Eastern Europe - said Mr Adam Maciejewski, CEO of the WSE.

Peter Niklewicz will support the Warsaw Stock Exchange in strengthening its international relations strategy, demonstrating Warsaw's position as a leading regional financial centre. With a primary focus on London, this appointment reflects WSE's confidence and readiness to engage more broadly with international investors, issuers, brokers and trading firms, leveraging the state-of-the-art trading technology introduced earlier this year.

Peter Niklewicz served as Country Head of CEE and Nordics Institutional and Corporate Access at Citigroup and Royal Bank of Scotland. Previously he acted as capital markets advisor to a number of European corporates. Peter Niklewicz is an alumnus of Imperial College London and HEC Paris.
