Warsaw Stock Exchange Signs A Memorandum of Co-operation with London

On July 12, 1999 in Warsaw, Dr Wieslaw Rozlucki, President and CEO of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and Sir John Kemp-Welch, Chairman of the London Stock Exchange signed a Memorandum of Co-operation between the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange Ltd. The memorandum provides a basis for long-term co-operation between the two Exchanges, which will encompass, among others, exchange of information concerning cross-listed securities and sharing experience related to the functioning of both markets. Such co-operation will be of benefit to the financial sectors of both countries, as it will contribute to increased transparency of the markets and the safety of trading.
