- WSE has been shortlisted for the FOW International Awards 2013 in the Best Technology Innovation by an Exchange in Europe category for the implementation of the new trading system: the Universal Trading Platform
Futures and Options World Magazine (FOW) has published the shortlist for the FOW International Awards 2013. WSE has been shortlisted in the Best Technology Innovation by an Exchange in Europe category for the implementation of the new trading system, the Universal Trading Platform, which has been in operation on WSE since 15 April 2013. Other exchanges shortlisted for the award are Eurex for the T7 trading architecture and the Moscow Stock Exchange for the new derivatives data feed.
“I am very happy that the Warsaw Stock Exchange has been shortlisted for the awards for innovative technology implementations on European stock exchanges. The implementation of the new trading system, the Universal Trading Platform, has been the most important infrastructure project in many years, not only for WSE but also for the entire capital market. It has been a real break-through and has equipped the Warsaw Stock Exchange with a system that is in line with the highest global standards, addresses the growing requirements of market participants, and ensures that trading is organised in accordance with global trends,” said Adam Maciejewski, President and CEO of WSE.
The FOW International Awards are presented for the second. The winners will be selected by a jury of independent market experts, who will evaluate the activities of the shortlisted companies in the period from April 2012 to May 2013. WSE has been shortlisted in the Exchanges and CCPs category. The winners will be announced at the awards gala on 10 December 2013 in London.
