The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market was PLN 16.7 billion in March 2016, representing a decrease of 13.4% year on year. The total value of trade in equities was PLN 17.4 billion in March 2016, a decrease of 18.9% year on year. The number of transactions was 1.7 million in March 2016, an increase of 12.6% year on year. The average daily value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book was PLN 793.6 million on the Main Market and PLN 5.2 million on NewConnect.
The volume of trade in index futures was 491.6 thousand contracts in March 2016, representing an increase of 5.7% year on year. The volume of trade in single-stock futures increased by 69.9% year on year to 113.4 thousand contracts in March 2016.
The value of bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 71.1 billion at the end of March 2016, representing an increase of 8.2% year on year. The total value of trade on Catalyst decreased by 5.9% year on year to PLN 185.2 million in March 2016.
The total value of trade on TBSP was PLN 27.5 billion in March 2016, representing a decrease of 48.7% year on year.
The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity was 10.7 TWh in March 2016 compared to 16.8 TWh in March 2015. The total volume of spot and forward transactions in natural gas increased by 4.2% year on year to 12.2 TWh in March 2016.
The volume of trade in property rights was 6.7 TWh in March 2016, representing a decrease of 26.3% year on year.
The capitalisation of 430 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 543.7 billion (EUR 127.4 billion) at the end of March 2016. The total capitalisation of 483 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market was PLN 1,000.1 billion (EUR 234.3 billion) at the end of March 2016.
The company ARCHICOM S.A. was newly listed on the GPW Main Market in March 2016 with an offering of PLN 72 million. The company UNIFIED FACTORY (offering of PLN 6.25 million) was newly listed on NewConnect. The companies GRIFFIN REAL ESTATE INVEST Sp. z o.o. (corporate bond issue of PLN 147 million), GETBACK S.A. (corporate bond issue of PLN 25 million) and FAMUR S.A. (corporate bond issue of PLN 108 million) were newly listed on Catalyst in March 2016.
GPW held 21 trading sessions in March 2016, one less than in March 2015.
