Warsaw Stock Exchange - Investor Activity On GPW Markets: February 2016

• Decrease of the value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book¹ on the Main Market by 7.9% YoY as the number of transactions increased (+26.8 YoY)
  
• Nearly 60 percent increase of the volume of trade in index futures and single-stock futures: 489.1 thousand futures in aggregate
  
• Increase of the value of bond issues listed on Catalyst by 10.3% YoY to PLN 70.2 billion 
  
• Increase of the volume of trade in property rights by 13.6% to 6.2 TWh

The value of trade in equities on the Electronic Order Book on the Main Market was PLN 13.8 billion in February 2016, representing a decrease of 7.9% year on year. The total value of trade in equities was PLN 14.1 billion in February 2016, a decrease of 12.3% year on year. The number of transactions was
1.5 million in February 2016, an increase of 26.8% year on year.

The value of trade on the Electronic Order Book on NewConnect was PLN 135.8 million in February 2016, representing a decrease of 7.2% year on year. The average daily value of trade was PLN 6.5 million.

The volume of trade in index futures was 377.2 thousand contracts in February 2016, representing an increase of 60.0% year on year. The volume of trade in single-stock futures increased by 55.6% year on year to 111.9 thousand contracts in February 2016.

The value of bond issues listed on Catalyst was PLN 70.2 billion at the end of February 2016, representing an increase of 10.3% year on year. The value of trade on the Electronic Order Book on Catalyst decreased by 2.0% year on year to PLN 186.2 million.

The total value of trade on TBSP was PLN 21.9 billion in February 2016, representing a decrease of
56.1% year on year.

The total volume of spot and forward transactions in electricity was 10.9 TWh in February 2016 compared to 14.5 TWh in February 2015. The volume of spot transactions in natural gas increased by 135.4% year on year to 1.9 TWh in February 2016. The total volume of spot and forward transactions in natural gas was 8.6 TWh in February 2016 compared to 9.3 TWh in January 2016 and 12.4 TWh in February 2015.

The volume of trade in property rights was 6.2 TWh in February 2016, representing an increase of
13.6% year on year.

The capitalisation of 433 domestic companies listed on the Main Market was PLN 506.6 billion
(EUR 116.2 billion) at the end of February 2016. The total capitalisation of 486 domestic and foreign companies listed on the GPW Main Market was PLN 963.7 billion (EUR 221.1 billion) at the end of February 2016. 

The company SARE was newly listed on the Main Market in February 2016 (it transferred from NewConnect) with an issue of PLN 0.78 million. 
The companies MED-GALICJA (offer worth PLN 0.46 million) and INDOS (new issue worth PLN 2.27 million) were newly listed on NewConnect.
The companies J.W. CONSTRUCTION HOLDING (corporate bond issue worth PLN 120 million) and POLSKA GRUPA FARMACEUTYCZNA (corporate bond issue worth PLN 100 million) were newly listed on Catalyst in February. 

GPW held 21 trading sessions in February 2016, one more than in February 2015.
