SiTech was created in April this year as a response to the investors' interest in the so-called new economy. SiTech provides high-tech companies that are already listed on one of the Exchange markets with separate visibility; this allows investors to identify them more easily.
The SiTech segment, initially created for the telecommunications and IT sectors, is also open to companies from other sectors provided that base their growth on development and application of innovative technologies.
Currently, the SiTech encompasses 14 companies: Apexim, ComArch, ComputerLand, Computer Service Support, Elektrim, ELZAB, MacroSoft, OPTIMUS, Prokom Software, SOFTBANK, STERPROJEKT, STGROUP, Szeptel and Telekomunikacja Polska.
Following the launch of SiTech, in May the Exchange created also a new price index, the TechWIG, designed to track the performance of the companies from this segment. TechWIG is calculated in real-time every minute during continuous trading.
