As previously announced, the WSE will discontinue the calculation and publication of the TechWIG index as of the session on 23 June 2008.
The WSE has been publishing the TechWIG index since 19 May 2000. TechWIG index contracts were introduced to exchange trading on 1 August 2000.
Due to the discontinued publication of the TechWIG index, TechWIG contracts will not be introduced to trading following the expiry on 20 June of the last series currently in trading.
The Warsaw Stock Exchange is implementing a programme of actions aimed at building an investor environment specialised in investing in highly innovative companies. New initiatives under the “Innovative Economy on the WSE” Programme will be launched in the coming months. They may include the launch of an index of innovative companies in diverse sectors.
