Warsaw Stock Exchange: CATALYST Bond Market Opens

The organised debt securities market CATALYST dedicated to corporate and municipal bonds opened on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on 30 September 2009.

Trading in debt instruments is conducted on transactions platforms of the WSE and BondSpot (formerly MTS-CeTO).

Issuers and investors can use the platforms which operate as (exchange and off-exchange) regulated markets together with a mechanism of issue placement and authorisation (registration) in the WSE IT system.

The following debt financial instruments were introduced to exchange trading on Catalyst on 30 September:
  • Capital City of WARSAW (WSE/BondSpot regulated markets)
  • Electus SA (WSE regulated market)
  • Radlin City (WSE regulated market)
  • European Investment Bank (WSE regulated market)
Bonds of the following issuers, previously listed on the public market, are now subject to the Catalyst regulations and standards:
  • BRE Bank Hipoteczny SA (BondSpot regulated market)
  • Europejski Fundusz Hipoteczny SA (BondSpot regulated market)
  • Ostrów Wielkopolski Municipality and City (BondSpot regulated market)
  • Pozna? City (BondSpot regulated market)
  • Rybnik City (BondSpot regulated market)
  • Pekao Bank Hipoteczny SA (BondSpot regulated market)
The following issuers have had their issues authorised without introducing them to trading as of 30 September:
  • Z?bki City
  • Municipality of Kórnik
  • Tczew Municipality and City
  • Po?czyn–Zdrój Municipality
  • Turek Municipality and City

Authorisation of bonds implies that the issuer accepts the reporting requirements under the Catalyst Rules and the issue is registered and assigned a special identifier in the Catalyst information system.
