Warsaw Stock Exchange: Calculation And Publication Of A New Sector Sub-Index WIG-Oil & Gas

The Warsaw Stock Exchange announces that starting from January 2, 2006 a new sector subindex WIG-oil & gas will be calculated and published.

The WIG-oil & gas subindex will complete the family of sector subindices, which comprises of following trades: banking, construction, IT, food, media and telecommunication.

Following the methodology of sector subindices, a portfolio of a subindex constitute companies representing in the WIG index given sector. The size of the packet of each participant equals the size of the packet in the WIG index. The base date of the WIG-oil & gas subindex will be December, 30, 2005.

The WIG-oil & gas subindex will consist of: PKNORLEN (53% share in the subindex), PGNIG (21%), LOTOS (15%) and MOL (11%).
