Warsaw Stock Exchange Awards Polish Capital Market Leaders For 2013

• The 2013 Stock Market Review Gala was held at Centrum Giełdowe in Warsaw yesterday.
  
• Issuers, Exchange Members and Authorised Advisers were awarded by WSE at the event for their special contribution to the growth of the Polish stock market.

The event was hosted by Adam Maciejewski, CEO of Warsaw Stock Exchange. The invitation to the gala ceremony was accepted by representatives of the key institutions of the capital market: issuers, brokers, banks, investment firms, professional organisations and associations. Special guests of the event included Janusz Piechociński, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy; Mateusz Szczurek, Minister of Finance; Wojciech Kowalczyk, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Finance; and Jacek Michałowski, Head of the Chancellery of the President of Poland.

Special Awards of Warsaw Stock Exchange went to:

• The Ministry of the State Treasury for consistent promotion of the concept of civic shareholding
• DM Citi Handlowy – Broker of the Year 2013
• Zbigniew Jakubas for passion and determination in creating new business projects and for visionary business on the public market

Awards for capital market leaders were given in the following categories:

Stock Market:

• Award for Energa for the biggest value of a public offering of shares in 2013
• Award for Dom Maklerski mBanku for the biggest number of companies introduced to the Main Market in 2013 and for the biggest share in session trading in shares and rights to shares on NewConnect excluding market making transactions in 2013
• Award for Dom Maklerski PKO BP for the biggest value of offerings of companies introduced to the Main Market in 2013 and for the biggest number of companies introduced to the Main Market in 2013
• Award for Rubicon Partners Corporate Finance for the biggest value of offerings of companies introduced to NewConnect in 2013
• Award for Dom Maklerski Citi Handlowy for the biggest share in session trading in shares and rights to shares on the Main Market excluding market making transactions in 2013
• Award for Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) for the biggest share of a market maker in session trading in shares and rights to shares on the Main Market in 2013
• Award for Beskidzki Dom Maklerski for the biggest share of a market maker in session trading in shares and rights to shares on NewConnect in 2013

Bond Market: 

• Award for Bank Pekao for the biggest value of issues of non-Treasury debt instruments introduced to Catalyst in 2013
• Award for PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna for the biggest value of a new listing on Catalyst in 2013
• Award for Multimedia Polska for the biggest value of an issue introduced to Catalyst in 2013
• Award for Dom Maklerski Citi Handlowy for the biggest share in trading in non-Treasury bonds on all Catalyst markets in 2013
• Award for Dom Maklerski PKO BP for the biggest value of trading in non-Treasury bonds by a market maker on Catalyst in 2013

Treasury BondSpot Poland: 

• Award for Bank Citi Handlowy w Warszawie for the biggest value of cash transactions on Treasury BondSpot Poland in 2013
• Award for BNP Paribas for the biggest value of conditional transactions on Treasury BondSpot Poland in 2013
• Award for Bank Millennium - the market making leader on Treasury BondSpot Poland in 2013

Derivatives Market:

• Award for Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska for the biggest share in the volume of trading in derivative instruments excluding market maker transactions in 2013
• Award for Dom Maklerski Banku Ochrony Środowiska for the biggest share of a market maker in the volume of trading in derivative instruments in 2013

Structured Product Market:

• Award for ING Banku NV for the biggest number of structured products introduced to trading in 2013
• Award for Raiffeisen CentroBank AG for the biggest diversity of structured products introduced to trading in 2013
