Warsaw Stock Exchange Announces Quarterly Changes In Main Indices’ Portfolios

After close of business on December 15, 2006, WSE executed periodic changes in main indices’ portfolios.

The composition of the WIG20 index changed and CEZ company replaced ORBIS. In the MIDWIG index, BARLINEK, PROCHNIK, EUROCASH, POLMOSBIA, SANWIL and SWARZEDZ were replaced by HUTMEN, FERRUM, DOMDEV, STRZELEC, POLNORD and ORBIS.

ASSECOSLO, MMPPL, NETMEDIA, ONE2ONE, UNIMA and OPTIMUS supplemented the TechWIG index.

CEZ, MOSTALZAB and allotment certificates of SKOTAN, LENTEX and MOSTALZAB companies supplemented the WIG index. SKOTAN, LUBAWA, INTERFERI, NAFTA, TETA, FAM, 7BULLS and ENERGOPLD were moved from the WIRR index to the WIG index and PEPEES, MOSTALEXP, SWISSMED, MNI, BMPAG, PROSPER, NORTCOAST and ATLANTAPL were moved from the WIG index to the WIRR index. ELEKTRIM company was removed from the WIG index and ELMONTWAR company from the WIRR index. ECARD, OPTIMUS and PCGUARD and allotment certificates of SWARZEDZ company supplemented the WIRR index. 7BULLS, FAM, INTERFERI, LUBAWA, MOSTALZAB, NOVITUS, ODLEWNIE, PERMEDIA, PONARFEN, SKOTAN and allotment certificates of MOSTALZAB, LENTEX and SKOTAN companies entered and BEDZIN, EUROFILMS, ELEKTRIM, HYDROTOR, HYPERION, NETMEDIA and UNIMIL were removed from the WIG-PL index.

Periodic changes are executed quarterly to reflect current liquidity and free float market value of listed companies.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange computes 13 different indices, including WIG20 (blue-chip companies), MIDWIG (mid-cap companies) and TechWIG (innovative technologies companies), which are underlying instruments for futures contracts. Other indices: WIG (main market companies), WIRR (small companies) and WIG-PL (main market domestic companies) are all-share benchmark indices.
