Warsaw Stock Exchange Announces An Extraordinary Adjustment In WIRR Index Portfolio

Following the trading session on October 19, 2004, shares of company SWISSMED (2 542 000 shares) will join WIRR index.

The company was introduced to trading on October 15, 2004 and fulfils free float, liquidity and positive book value criteria of above mentioned index.

As the result, following October 15, 2004, there will be 57 companies in the WIRR portfolio.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange computes 12 different indices, including WIG20 (blue-chip companies), MIDWIG (mid-cap companies) and TechWIG (innovative technologies companies), which are underlying instruments for futures contracts. Other indices: WIG (main market companies), WIRR (small companies) and WIG-PL (main market domestic companies) are all-share benchmark indices.
All the WSE index selection criteria are based on free float, liquidity and observance of corporate governance.
