Warsaw Stock Exchange Announces An Extraordinary Adjustment In WIRR Index

Following the trading session on September 2, 2004, shares of WAFAPOMP will be removed from the WIRR index portfolio.

The company will be excluded from trading after session on September 7, 2004 and will no longer fulfil criteria of above mentioned index.

As the result, following September 2, 2004, there will be 57 companies in WIRR index portfolio.

The Warsaw Stock Exchange computes 12 different indices, including WIG20 (blue-chip companies), MIDWIG (mid-cap companies) and TechWIG (innovative technologies companies), which are underlying instruments for futures contracts. Other indices: WIG (main market companies), WIRR (small companies) and WIG-PL (main market domestic companies) are all-share benchmark indices. All the WSE index selection criteria are based on free float, liquidity and observance of corporate governance.
