Warsaw Exchange Announces Quarterly Adjustment Of WIG20 And MIDWIG Indices

The Warsaw Stock Exchange announces the following quarterly changes to the WIG20 blue-chip and MIDWIG MidCap Indices:
  • According to the WIG20 Index Ranking no changes will be made in this index participant list.

  • In the MIDWIG Index Forte, Ropczyce, Stalprofil, Impexmetal, Boryszew, Mostostal Siedlce and Krosno will be added to the index portfolio. After adjustment the number of MIDWIG participants will increase from 33 to 40 (maximal number of participants in this index portfolio).

These changes will be effective after close of business on Friday, September 19, 2003.

WIG20, MIDWIG and WIG indices are main Warsaw Exchange indices which cover 95% of market capitalisation and 98% of market turnover. Companies in all indices are selected based on free float and liquidity criteria. WIG20 and MIDWIG are also underlying instruments for futures contracts.
