Warsaw Exchange Announces An Annual Revision In The WIG20 And MIDWIG Indices

Following the ranking, drawn up as of 30 January 2004, the composition of the WIG20 and MIDWIG portfolios will be changed:

  • BA-CA and CERSANIT will be added to the WIG20 index and SZEPTEL and GRAJEWO will be added to the MIDWIG index.

  • COMARCH and MILLENNIUM will be moved from the WIG20 index to the MIDWIG index.

  • KROSNO and OKOCIM will be removed from the MIDWIG index as they no longer meet the index participation criteria.

    As the result, following March 19, 2004, there will be 20 companies in the WIG20 portfolio and 40 companies in the MIDWIG portfolio.

    The WIG20 and MIDWIG indices WIG20 index are the main Warsaw Exchange's indices. WIG20 consists of the biggest companies listed on WSE and MIDWIG is dedicated to mid-sized companies. Both indices are underlying instruments for futures contracts.
