CBOE Holdings, Inc. (BATS: CBOE | NASDAQ: CBOE) said today that trading volume in options on the CBOE Volatility Index® (VIX®) reached a new all-time high on Monday, September 25.
In VIX options at CBOE, a reported 2,612,952 contracts traded on Monday, surpassing the previous single-day record of 2,538,121 contracts on Thursday, August 10, 2017. Four of the ten busiest single days ever for trading VIX options have occurred in 2017.
