Vilnius Stock Exchange Total Turnover Of 2004 exceeded

Today this year’s turnover on the equities and bonds markets of the Vilnius Stock Exchange (VSE) exceeded the one for the entire year of 2004 and surpassed annual total security turnover results in the VSE’s history.

Since January 2005, the total VSE turnover was LTL 3,298.44 m (EUR 955.29 m), and 115,410 trades were made at the VSE. In comparison with the same period last year, this is 50.03% and 67.21% more, respectively. During the entire year of 2004, the total security turnover stood at LTL 3,291.74 m or EUR 953.35 m and 93,783 trades changed hands at the stock exchange.

At the end of June of this year, share turnover reached the one of 2004 (LTL 1,079.32 m or EUR 312.59 m). From the beginning of this year, share turnover amounted to LTL 1,593.33 m (EUR 461.46 m), and the number of trades came to 114.318. Debt securities’ turnover for the same period totaled LTL 1,705.10 m (EUR 493.83 m), and the number of trades – 1,092. Last year debt security turnover was LTL 2,212.41 m (EUR 640.76 m).
