The Securities Industry Association today issued its newest Capital Alert, which showed that U.S.-based businesses raised nearly $133 billion in capital in the third quarter of 2004. The report, distributed to Congress each quarter, provides data on capital raised by equity and debt issues on a state-by-state basis. Capital Alert outlines how the securities markets fuel the U.S. economy, allow companies to offer more innovative products and services, create new jobs, and help Americans realize their financial and retirement goals.
