The staff of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission has issued a No-Action Letter to the TSE, dated May 23, 2001, stating that they will not recommend enforcement action if the Futures are offered and sold in the United States. Accordingly, US registered FCM's will be able to accept orders from US investors to purchase or sell Futures, starting June 11, 2001.
The CFTC previously issued a No-Action Letter that enables TOPIX Index Futures to be offered and sold in the United States.
