The UAE bourse's Emnex index picked up 1.84 points to close at 2,066.52 points
on Wednesday, recouping ground lost over the previous two days. Insurance
shares were in demand. So far this year the UAE stock market has not enjoyed
the steep rise in value seen in some other GCC bourses, and it remains dogged by
poor liquidity and low trading volumes.
