The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) is pleased to announce that UBS, a leading global wealth manager, top tier investment banking and securities firm and one of the largest global asset managers, celebrates its tenth anniversary as a member of the TASE. To mark the occasion, Yaron Bloch, CEO of UBS Israel opened the trading at the TASE.
“The TASE is a global stock exchange where opportunities for both the local investor and the foreign investors are growing,” declared Yaron Bloch, CEO of UBS Securities Israel Ltd.
“Since becoming members of the stock exchange, we have secured our position among the leading foreign investors, business people and institutional investors in Israel. Membership in the stock exchange is part of an overall policy of the bank to encourage foreign investments in Israeli companies in particular and in the TASE in general.
Ester Levanon, CEO of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, commented: “We congratulate UBS on ten years as a TASE member. Since UBS became our first international member in 1997, 3 additional foreign members joined the TASE – all of which enjoy benefits of access to direct trading on the Exchange”.
“Foreign investors have become a very significant element in the Israeli economy and the activities of foreign banks in Israel are without doubt a very important factor that encourages them to invest in this country,” Levanon added.
