In celebration of International Women’s Day, H.E. Dr. Maryam Butti Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), took part in the gender equality bell ringing ceremony hosted yesterday by the Dubai Financial Market (DFM). Present at the ceremony were H.E. Hamed Ahmed Ali, CEO of the DFM; Ali Al Hashimi, Executive Vice President and Head of the Financial Services Division; and Maryam Mohamed Fikri, CEO of the Dubai Central Clearing and Depository Holding LLC. Around 121 exchanges from around the world celebrated this occasion.
This celebration comes to consolidate the status of Emirati women. It is a recognition of their great achievements and increased presence and role in the securities sector in particular and the financial sector in general.
