The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has been awarded the ISO 44001:2017 certificate (collaborative business relationship management systems) in recognition of its efforts to enhance institutional services and update performance standards by adopting the best international practices to deepen and strengthen its business relationships with federal and local entities and business sectors at the local and international levels.
“Obtaining the ISO 44001:2017 certificate further bolsters the SCA’s track record and reiterates its ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of excellence, building confidence with strategic partners, creating strong and sustainable relationships, and sharing knowledge and resources to promote our mutual objectives, bring higher added value, and fulfill our vision and that of our partners, in addition to fulfilling the wise leadership’s vision to take the UAE to international levels”, said Her Excellency Dr. Maryam Butti Al Suwaidi, the SCA’s CEO.
She lauded the efforts of the SCA’s working teams to obtain the certificate and strengthen its partnerships by establishing principles that determine the nature of relationships and responsibilities shared among partners within an internationally recognized framework. Their efforts also revolved around building and maintaining an institutional system for partnership management that focuses on the value of the partnerships forged with local and federal government entities and private sector institutions across the UAE and the world, in addition to implementing and overseeing these partnerships to promote institutional performance and maximize mutual benefit.
The SCA obtained this certificate after having gone through a comprehensive assessment by the Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) to ensure its compliance with the relevant standards and requirements and the existence of a well-regulated and standardized framework that facilitates coordination and cooperation among partners and improves the efficiency of partnership management to achieve the objectives of all parties involved.
The ISO 44001:2017 standard aims to establish effective partner relationships, thus helping govern working mechanisms and facilitate decision making.
