The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) celebrated Flag Day at its Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices. Her Excellency Dr. Maryam Buti Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer, hoisted the UAE flag at the SCA’s Dubai branch in the presence of department managers, section heads, and employees.
Al Suwaidi extended her warmest congratulations and blessings to the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; and their brothers Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates on this special national occasion that cements the values of unity and cohesion among the people of the UAE.
She said that Flag Day reflects the deep solidarity between the UAE people and leadership. It is a day on which we take pride in the achievements of our country that has become—thanks to Allah and our wise leadership—a role model in progress and prosperity regionally and internationally. With utmost dedication, we continue to build on the achievements of our founding fathers, led by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the man who laid the initial foundations for the UAE federation and raised the UAE flag as a symbol of unity, strength, and sovereignty.
“The third of November is a great opportunity for us to renew our allegiance and loyalty to our wise leadership and pledge to continue on the path laid down by our founding fathers. It is an opportunity to express our pride in our deep sense of belonging to this dear homeland, our firm belief that we can build a bright and promising future, and our commitment to achieving more success and progress for our beloved country and ensuring a better life for future generations in line with a governmental vision that puts humans first and prioritizes the welfare and prosperity of the people,” Dr. Al Suwaidi said.
“On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to contributing to the achievement of the vision of our wise leadership to bolster the UAE’s global status and create an integrated society that adopts sustainability practices across all sectors. We will continue to work as one team with dedication and devotion to protect the gains and achievements that our country made in the past decades and portray a positive image of our beloved homeland in international fora,” she concluded.
