Turnover At Deutsche Börse’s Cash Markets At 93.0 Billion Euros In February

Order book turnover on Xetra, the Xetra Frankfurt Specialist trading and Tradegate stood at €93.0 billion in February (February 2012: €105.8 billion). Of the €93.0 billion, €85.2 billion were attributable to Xetra (February 2012: €96.4 billion). €4.5 billion were attributable to the Xetra Frankfurt Specialist trading (February 2012: €5.6 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €3.3 billion in February (February 2012: €3.7 billion).

In equities, turnover reached €79.1 billion on Deutsche Börse’s cash markets (Xetra: €74.2 billion, Xetra Frankfurt Specialist trading: €1.9 billion, Tradegate Exchange: €2.9 billion). Turnover in bonds was €1.3 billion, and in structured products on Scoach €1.3 billion. Order book turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €11.0 billion.
 
A total of 15.2 million transactions were executed on Xetra in February (February 2012: 18.4 million).
 
The DAX security with the highest turnover in February was Deutsche Bank AG at €4.8 billion. Metro AG led the MDAX equities at €620.5 million, while Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG topped the SDAX equity index with €125.3 million, and Software AG headed TecDAX with €219.3 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares DAX with €926.9 million.
