Turnover At Deutsche Börse’s Cash Markets At 110.2 Billion Euros In April

Order book turnover on Xetra, Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange across all asset classes stood at €110.2 billion in April (April 2015: €137.1 billion).

Of the €110.2 billion, €100.6 billion were attributable to Xetra (April 2015: €125.0 billion). The average daily turnover on Xetra stood at €4.8 billion in April (April 2015: €6.3 billion). A turnover of €3.7 billion was attributable to Börse Frankfurt (April 2015: €5.2 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €5.9 billion in April (April 2015: €6.9 billion).

Broken down by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities reached about €94.8 billion. Turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €13.4 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.9 billion, in structured products €1.1 billion and in funds €0.1 billion. 

The electronic trading platform Eurex Bonds traded €6.3 billion (single counting, mainly government bonds) in April (April 2015: €7.6 billion).

Viewed by transactions, a total of 19.9 million trades were executed on Xetra in April (April 2015: 19.1 million).

The DAX security with the highest turnover on Xetra in April was Daimler AG at €7.1 billion. K+S AG led the MDAX equities with €634 million, while Schaeffler AG topped the SDAX equity index with €284 million, and Wirecard AG headed TecDAX with €593 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF with €1.4 billion.
