Turnover At Deutsche Börse’s Cash Markets At 106.2 Billion Euros In April

Order book turnover on Xetra, Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange across all asset classes stood at €106.2 billion in April (April 2016: €110.2 billion).

Of the €106.2 billion, €96.9 billion were attributable to Xetra (April 2016: €100.6 billion). The average daily turnover on Xetra stood at €5.4 billion in April (April 2016: €4.8 billion). A turnover of €3.4 billion was attributable to Börse Frankfurt (April 2016: €3.7 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange totalled approximately €5.9 billion in April (April 2016: €5.9 billion).

Broken down by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities reached about €91.9 billion. Turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €12.3 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.4 billion, in structured products €1.1 billion and in funds €0.1 billion.

The electronic trading platform Eurex Bonds traded €7.1 billion (single counting, mainly government bonds) in April (April 2016: €6.3 billion).

Viewed by transactions, a total of 20.2 million trades were executed on Xetra in April (April 2016: 19.8 million).

The DAX security with the highest turnover on Xetra in April was Deutsche Bank AG at €5.4 billion. STADA Arzneimittel AG led the MDAX equities with €738 million, while Klöckner & Co SE topped the SDAX equity index with €143 million, and Dialog Semiconductor Plc. headed TecDAX with €787 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares Euro STOXX 50 UCITS ETF with €1.1 billion.
