TSX Venture Exchange Hosts Town Hall Meetings - Industry Stakeholders Come Together To Discuss TSXV's Plans To Enhance Canada's Public Venture Market

TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) today announced town hall meetings in Calgary, Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver to discuss the Exchange's proposed improvements to Canada's public venture market with clients and other stakeholders from across the industry.

In December 2015, TSXV announced changes to help support, revitalize and grow its marketplace which remains a critical part of TMX's equity markets continuum, an important driver of the Canadian economy, and a key element in Canada's innovation and venture capital ecosystem. In a whitepaper titled Revitalizing TSX Venture Exchange: Canada's Public Venture Market, TSXV outlines tactics designed to address the current environment and secure a strong future as the leading public market for early-stage companies.

The town hall meetings will focus on the actions and tactics required to fulfil each of the commitments presented in the whitepaper, while also encouraging open dialogue regarding the future of TSXV.
