TSX Inc. (formerly The Toronto Stock Exchange Inc.) and TSX Group Inc. announced today that TSX Group Inc. has filed a preliminary prospectus with the securities regulatory authorities in each of the provinces and territories of Canada in connection with a proposed offering of its common shares. The offering is being underwritten by a syndicate led by Scotia Capital Inc. and Goldman Sachs & Co., which includes BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., TD Securities Inc., Merrill Lynch Canada Inc., Cannacord Capital Corporation, Dundee Securities Corporation, Griffiths McBurney & Partners, Raymond James Ltd. and Yorkton Securities Inc. TSX Inc. has also called a special meeting of its shareholders for October 2, 2002 to approve certain matters relating to the offering.
