TSX Group CEO Speech In Halifax On June 17, 2005

In his first speech in Atlantic Canada since becoming TSX Group Inc. CEO, Richard Nesbitt will be the keynote luncheon speaker at a special event hosted by Dalhousie University in Halifax on Friday.

Nova Scotia companies now have a market capitalization on Toronto Stock Exchange of $12.9 billion, led by companies like Aliant, Sobeys and Emera. In 2005, the Nova Scotia Securities Commission approved the Capital Pool Company Program®, a TSX Venture Exchange program whereby experienced directors and officers work with junior public companies to form a capital pool company that lists on the junior market.

Mr. Nesbitt will argue for capital markets to be efficient and competitive in order to compete on a North American basis.
