TSX CEO Opens Montreal Office

Joined by representatives of the provincial government, the City of Montreal and listed companies, TSX CEO Barbara Stymiest today opened a new and bigger Montreal office at 1000 Sherbrooke West by saying "this is an exciting day for us and it is a wonderful new home for our Quebec headquarters." She added, "this is more than a place in which to conduct our business, it represents our commitment to our long-term future serving Quebecers and Quebec capital markets." The office services Quebec-based issuers by offering a full array of corporate finance services for both the senior and junior markets.

Joined at a ribbon cutting ceremony by Carmen Crépin, chair of the Commission des valeurs mobilières du Québec, and representing Finance Minister Pauline Marois, and Louise O'Sullivan-Boyne, Councillor representing the Mayor of Montréal Gérald Tremblay, Ms Stymiest proceeded to the official ribbon cutting. Ms Stymiest was also joined by André Bombardier, Vice Chairman of Bombardier Inc., and Mark Busgang , president and CEO of Warnex Inc. The fifteen TSX professionals of the Montreal office were also present.

Opening the Montreal office was another step in the TSX becoming a national organization. Ms Stymiest opened the Vancouver office on October 29, 2001.
