TSE Index Notice

The Toronto Stock Exchange today announced that its Board of Governors has approved amendments to the Maintenance and Inclusion Rules for the Toronto 35 Index, TSE 100 Index and TSE 300 Composite Index. There are two elements to the rule amendments announced today: (1.) The effective date for the annual revision date for each of the indices, formerly tied to the expiry of futures and options traded on the Toronto Futures Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange, will now occur on specific dates as follows: TSE 300 Composite Index - Third Friday in February (February 18, 2000); TSE 100 Index - Third Friday in March (March 17, 2000); Toronto 35 Index - Third Friday in March (March 17, 2000). (2.) The effective date for the annual revision to the Toronto 35 Index is to be moved to the same date as the revision to the TSE 100 Index ( i.e. March 17, 2000).
