Trendwest Resorts, Inc. To Join Nasdaq Financial-100 Index Beginning March 1, 2001

Trendwest Resorts, Inc. (Nasdaq:TWRI) of Redmond, Washington, will become a component of the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Thursday, March 1, 2001. Trendwest Resorts, Inc. will replace Republic Security Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:RSFC), which is being acquired.

With a market capitalization of $464.0 million, Trendwest Resorts markets, sells and finances timeshare Vacation Ownership Interests in the form of Vacation Credits and Fractional Interests. The Company also acquires, develops and manages timeshare resorts.
