12,763,867 contracts have been traded up to yesterday, 709,068 contracts more than in 2004. Trading in Stock Futures this year is up 47% on the same period last year.
In addition to this significant increase in trading volume, the consolidation of MEFF’s leadership in the trading of individual Stock Futures can also be noted in the high volume of open positions, with the current level of 2.3 million contracts representing an increase of 92% on the previous year’s figure.
Stock Futures are currently listed for 11 companies on MEFF, all of which are included in the IBEX 35. These are Altadis, Banco Popular, BBVA, Endesa, Gas Natural, Iberdrola, Inditex, Repsol YPF, SCH, Telefónica and Telefónica Móviles.
